The "30 Under 40" contest (the "Contest") is open to individuals who meet the following criteria:
Must be under the age of 40 as of October 1 of the contest year.
Must work in any sector of the pool industry, including but not limited to manufacturing, retail, service, distribution, construction, operations, sales, marketing or education.
Must be nominated by a peer, employer, or industry professional, or may self-nominate.
Individuals previously selected to a PoolPro 30 Under 40 class are not eligible to be selected again in future years.
Employees, officers, and directors of Kendrick Content and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate.
Nomination Process
Nominations must be submitted through the official contest platform by May 31 of the contest year.
Each nomination must include the nominee's full name, company and a brief statement outlining their contributions to the pool industry.
Supporting materials, such as testimonials, work achievements or industry recognition, are encouraged but not required.
Entry Requirement
Nominees are not officially entered into the Contest unless they complete the full entry form by June 30.
Incomplete submissions will not be considered.
By completing the entry form, nominees confirm that:
They meet all eligibility requirements
They have not previously been selected as a PoolPro 30 Under 40 honoree
They understand that the PoolPro 30 Under 40 recognition is separate from any awards presented at the Pool Nation Awards event
Selection Process
The PoolPro editorial team evaluate entries based on criteria such as impact, innovation, leadership and contributions to the pool industry.
The top 30 individuals will be selected and notified by November 1 of the contest year.
The decision of the judges is final and binding.
Awards and Recognition
Selected individuals will be featured in the November/December edition of PoolPro and may receive additional recognition through social media, press releases or industry events.
PoolPro’s 30 Under 40 is an editorial recognition program owned and administered by Kendrick Content and PoolPro magazine.
There is no monetary award associated with this recognition.
Winners may be asked to provide additional information or participate in promotional activities.
PoolPro reserves the right to revoke recognition at any time at its sole discretion.
As part of a partnership between PoolPro and the Pool Nation Awards, select honorees may also be recognized during the annual Pool Nation Awards event.
In addition, one male honoree and one female honoree from the current year’s PoolPro 30 Under 40 class may be selected by the Pool Nation Awards to receive: 30 Under 40 Male of the Year; 30 Under 40 Female of the Year
Selection to the PoolPro 30 Under 40 class is the primary recognition within the Program. Additional “Male of the Year” and “Female of the Year” honors presented through the Pool Nation Awards are selected from the current year’s PoolPro 30 Under 40 class.
Use of Name and Likeness
By participating, nominees grant PoolPro the right to use their name, likeness and professional background in promotional materials, publications and announcements related to the Contest.
General Conditions
PoolPro reserves the right to modify, suspend or terminate the Contest if unforeseen circumstances arise.
Participants agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions and all decisions made by Kendrick Content.
Any disputes related to the Contest will be governed by the laws of the state of Oklahoma.
